Located just 20 minutes from our hotel, and nestled in the grassy hills of the western San Joaquin Valley near historic Pacheco Pass, San Luis Reservoir State Recreation Area is noted for boating, board sailing, camping, and picknicking. But it's the anglers who find the unit's three lakes most inviting for an outstanding fishing for striped bass. Recreation area lakes includes O'Neill Forebay, San Luis Reservoir, and Los Banos Creek Reservoir. Regular strong winds make O'Neill Forebay and San Luis Reservoir an excellent location for board sailors.
