The American Cancer Society is hosting the Relay for Life to help the Corning community celebrate the lives of people who have fought cancer, remember loved ones lost, and battle back against the disease. The event will include an opening ceremony, survivors lap, luminaria ceremony, fight back ceremony, and closing ceremony. Support cancer survivors, remember the losted loves ones, and raise funds and awareness to help end cancer by registering to participate or donate today.

Location: Veterans Memorial Stadium of Pacheco High School, which is just 8 minutes from the Vagabond Inn Executive Los Banos hotel. Starts at 9:00 AM.

The Annual Quilt Show is held by the Pacheco Pass Quilters to showcase their quilts, and is a venue for quilting vendors to display their latest products. The Los Banos Art Council will host a sneak peek on Friday, Sept. 6th from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Ted Falasco Arts Center. The ticket for the Friday night preview will come with wine and light appetizers.

The Northern California Renaissance Faire is back to whisk you and your imagination back to the late 14th century through the 16th century. Take pictures with the hundreds of costumed performers, partake in fine foods and handmade crafts, and go to the free Celtic Rock Concert. With theme weekends, an Enchanted Garden for all ages, and the Dockside Alley for adults 21 and over, the Renaissance Faire is sure to please all kids and adults who attend. Take it a step further by dressing up in a Renaissance costume to really get the full experience.

The Los Banos Tomato Festival is a celebration of the Los Banos' tomato industry, which accounts for 40% of tomato paste and diced tomato products in the entire United States. Organized by the Los Banos Chamber of Commerce, the festival returns for the 3rd annual event with celebrity chef appearances, BBQ contests, salsa and pasta sauce contests, cooking classes, Bloody Mary's and fair foods with tomato ingredients. The event also presents entertainment by local performers and professional musicians on the fairground's stages. Be sure to stop by this event to see all things tomato and enjoy good-old fun.
