Little Petroglyph Canyon National Historic Landmark
Little Petroglyph Canyon is located in China Lake in the rugged volcanic Coso Range of the Upper Mojave Desert, on the test ranges of the Naval Air Weapons Station. It is located 2.3 miles North of our Ridgecrest property.

Death Valley National Park
Death Valley National Park is located 2 hours north of Ridgecrest, CA. Winter is considered the best season to visit Death Valley National Park with mild temperatures and snow capped mountains, though it is open to visitors all year. Summer season in Death Valley is generally too hot for most visitors. The Furnace Creek Visitor Center and Scotty's Castle Visitor Center are great places to start exploring Death Valley.

Trona Pinnacles
Trona Pinnacles is a 11 miles long trail that connects over 500 tufa pinnacles and some as high as 140 feet. Skill level is easy, trail travel duration is several hours, and best season is late fall through early spring.

Spangler Hills is ideal for off-roading with its rolling hills, steep mountains, open valleys, and rocky terrain over 57,000 acres of land. The Vagabond Inn Ridgecrest hotel is located just 14 miles from Spangler Hills.
Olancha Dunes
Olancha Dunes is a designated open area comprised of 1,000 acres with sand dunes and is less than 60 miles from our Ridgecrest hotel.
Old Time Trail Loop
The Old Time Trail Loop is 7 miles long, with the highest elevation at 3,255 ft, and skill level of moderate to intermediate. This trail is the most frequented and most used local trail with sandy conditions and short but steep climbs.
Wagon Wheel Trail
The Wagon Wheel Trail is 15 miles long, with the highest elevation at 3,690 ft, and skill level of beginner. This trail is great for a family ride with its hard packed, graded dirt road that has a view of the granite boulders and Sierra Nevada Mountains.
Lathrop Canyon Loop
The Lathrop Canyon Loop is 10 miles long, with the highest elevation at 3,559 ft, and skill level of intermediate to expert. This trail is challenging with a very fast downhill section, but offers an unbeatable view of Spangler Hills.
Kennedy Meadows
Kennedy Meadows is located in the Sequioa National Forest and the trail is recommended for intermediate to advance motorcycle racers. The nine mile long canyon offers campgrounds to rest overnight after riding through the hills and forests.
Bird Spring Pass Trail
Bird Spring Pass Trail is 20.8 miles long and travels between the Dove Springs OHV Area and Kelso Valley. Skill level is moderate, trail travel duration is 2 hours, and is open year round.
Iron Canyon Road
Iron Canyon Road is a 2.9 miles long trail with eroded cliffs that provides access to the Nightmare Gulch trail. Skill level is easy to difficult, trail travel duration is 30 minutes, and best season is fall through spring.
Bonanza Gulch/EP15
Bonanza Gulch is a 27.6 miles long trail and has white caverns and old miners cabins to explore. Skill level is moderate for 4WD, trail travel duration is 5 hours, and green-sticker vehicles (ATV's and bikes) are allowed.

Trona Pinnacles

Truly one of natures natural wonders. Fossil Falls is only 30 miuntes away.located off the North 395. A unique geological feature. Volcanic activity in the mountain range, along with meltwater from glaciers in the nearby Sierra Nevada, played a roll in forming the falls.
Ghost Town
Randsburg, Ca is a real life living ghost town. Located just 23 minutes from out hotel. Take a short drive up the US 395 and step back into time. Randsburg has many places to explore and see what it is really like to visit a real life ghost town.
